David Businelli, Class of 1983,  is the CEO and founder of Studio 16 Architecture on Staten Island. He holds a BS in architecture from the City College of New York School of Architecture and Environmental Studies.

David has received numerous awards from the American Institute of Architects and has been named among the top Italian architects practicing today in America by Primo magazine. His work has been published nationally in Contract magazine, AIA Architect, and Metal Architecture magazine, as well as internationally in the book 2000 Architects

In 2017 he was named one of the 25 Most Influential People on Staten Island by City and State Magazine.

David is a Past President of both AIA New York State and AIA Staten Island and is the co-founder of the AIA Staten Island Design Awards Program. He was a co-founder and Director of SImagines, and the Staten Island Planning for Recovery Program, conceived in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Staten Island Museum.
